SFP's Favorite "no reservation" Restaurants in Paris

In this ever evolving city of light, food and dining out are experiences that the Parisians give high importance to, and we are totally in agreement with that! Of the thousands of restaurants located in Paris, many can be reserved in advance, but equally as many are “walk-ins” with no possibility to reserve. It can definitely be a pain having to queue up for restaurants, hoping to get in for the evening, and truth be told, sometimes you are turned away and have to try your luck another day. However, some of......

Watch out Paris, because Montreuil could just become the 21st arrondissement!     The historically communist town is home to some......

I love discovering hidden gems in my city! I set out last weekend to get to know the Gambetta neighborhood in the 20th Arrondissement and its unique spots. I opted to start with a nice glass of Côte du Rhone at Café Martin, overlooking Père Lachaise cemetery on Place Martin Nadaud. A nice sunny cafe on a pedestrian-only street. Great for people watching, catching some sun and  chatting with locals.  Absolutely go for a leisurely lunch, food consists of huge smoked salmon platters and foie gras. I  walked around and learn more about this......

“Un repas sans fromage est une belle à qui manqué un œil.” “(a meal without cheese is a beautiful woman with one eye missing)” – Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin   If you’re a lover of cheese like we are, there’s really no denying that the cheese course of a menu is by far the best part, especially in France where they have almost 400 different types of cheese to indulge in! If you’re planning to visit France in the near future, or you’re planning to host a dinner party with cheese on the menu,......
