Spring 2016 Wardrobe Essentials

by

Seeing as spring is just around the corner and Paris Fashion Week has come to an end, we thought it would be appropriate to do a round-up of the essential spring-wear pieces for this season. We are very much looking forward to the arrival of warmer weather so that we can rock our new wardrobe finds!

With so many beautiful fashion trends this spring it has been extremely hard to narrow it down to the essentials. From cold shoulders to clinched in waists, long floral dresses, pastel tones, ruffled dresses, metallic fabrics, pleats, stripes and mini handbags, the list is endless. Allow us to help you out with some of our favourite  “must have” items for spring 2016.

The Cold Shoulder
The body part to bare this spring is your shoulders, whether it’s a cut out shoulder top or an off the shoulder look, either will work! For those of you who don’t like to show too much skin, this trend is one for you; sexy, chic, yet still leaves plenty to the imagination!

Ruffles & Florals
Maxi dresses are one of the easiest, quickest, yet stylish looks to put together. Slip on the dress, pair it with some sandals, grab your purse and you’re out the door in seconds. This season it’s all about big floral prints, pastel colours, and ruffled style dresses. See one of our favourites below.

Metallics & Micro Pleats
Spring fashion is normally about colours, florals, and softer prints, which is why this year we are loving that metallics are on trend! If you’re brave enough to wear a metallic reflective leather dress then you’ll be amongst the bigger fashionistas of the season! If you’d rather go for something a little more subtle, then try it out with some accessories or with this simple, pleated metallic skirt below. With this skirt, you’ll kill two birds in one stone combining pleats and metallic.

Lingerie from night to day
We all feel most comfortable in our lounging around the house pyjama wear, and that’s absolutely fine to admit! Thanks to this spring’s trend, it’s now more thank OK to wear our lingerie style options throughout the day too. Watch this space…we’ll all be sleeping in our clothes this spring!

All about the Pastels
It’s no surprise that pastels are all the rage for this spring, but light pink hues in particular seem to be everywhere this season. As pink can often seem very  girly, it’s best to try and introduce the colour in your accessories. Try the pastel pink scarf below as a start, and remember, pastels of ALL shades are welcome!
