Shopping for the Home in Paris

A few weeks ago I wrote a blog post on some of our tips for decorating like a Parisian and since then we have had a few requests on where to shop in Paris for some unique home decor items.

We shared some of our favorites from our cultivated list of top boutiques to buy that little something special to add to your home.

Happy Shopping!

111 boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003
Merci is a concept store on the northern rim of the Marais. This deluxe hot spot was created as a new “good will” concept store – mixing the racks of up and coming designers, deluxe brands and trinkets along with the prints of the moment, fun and practical kitchen accessories, furniture and great gift-giving ideas. Many of the designer items have quite a price tag attached to them but some of the smaller items are priced right and affordable for all. This amazing space holds not only fun and unique items for sale but also has a great restaurant/cafeteria for a quick bite downstairs or grab a coffee at the bookstore cafe surrounded by shelves of used books.

52 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, 75004
Since opening in 2005, Fleux‘ has been a Marais-must for trendy home deco. From their unique lightbulbs or suspension cords to ceramic owls and hand-crafted book-ends to chairs, coffee tables and coat racks, you are bound to find something in this plethora of decorative and colourful design pieces.

Le Rocketship
13 bis rue Henry Monnier, 75009
Located on a quaint 9eme street between St. Georges and Pigalle metros, Le Rocketship is an adorable boutique filled with home décor, stationary, gifts and gadgets all handpicked by the owner to showcase in his shop. Items come from all over the world and the owner has a story to tell about each designer on sale. There is a small coffee bar where you can sip on superb Chai Lattes or Coutume coffee while you shop and talk about the individual designers with the very friendly owner.

Pop Market
50 rue Bichat, 75010
Washi tape, hand painted bowls, stationary and garlands are only a few of the unique goodies and gifts that you will find in this gem of a shop. Bright colors and pastels make this a great shop for super cute odds and ends and accessories for the home. This bright and fun shop is a Canal-side must!

La Trésorerie
11 Rue du Château d’Eau, 75010
As the name suggests, La Trésorerie is indeed a treasure rove for all things home. With mostly European and French designers with a strong emphasis on local production and environmentally-friendly materials. There is a charming cafe alongside the shop for a caffeine boost to help you shop or to contemplate any purchases. All of the housewares here are made to be used and are beautiful in design but also incredibly practical. The prices are fair and you are bound to find some fun things for friends or the perfect touches to your home.

Adeline Klam
54 Boulevard Richard Lenoir, 75011
The creative mind behind the adorable Adeline Klam is Adeline herself who fell in love with Japanese printed paper on a trip to the United States and began to make contact with a few tradition paper printers in Japan. She learned how to use the papers and fabrics to create some of her beautiful items. Many of the papers and supplies come directly from her partners in Japan and you can buy Adeline’s homemade creations as well as so many other Japanese-inspired goodies in this delightful and beautiful shop. Adeline has even written a great selection of creative books to get your hands moving and help you to make your own beautiful items.
